In the year of 2005, our company's container shipping business reached 4,534,610 TEUs, representing an increase of 19.7% compared with that of 2004. The important lines such as the Transpacific Ocean lines, Asia/Europe lines, Asian lines and China lines, etc. saw growth in the year. Among these lines, the increase of Asia/Europe lines is the fastest (which has increased by 31.7%) and that of China lines is in the second place (which has increased by 25.1%). The increasing shipping business of containers in 2005 mainly benefited from the prosperous developing tendency of the shipping market in the year 2004 and some useful strategies, such as putting more vessels into use, increasing workforce for cargo collection, adding shipping cabins, launching new lines and expanding the development strength in the new markets.

The turnover of containers shipment business in 2005 is more than RMB31.9 billion, an increase of 17.0% (RMB4.6 billion) compared with that in 2004. The lines of Transpacific Ocean , Asia/Europe, Asia and China and other international lines all increased apparently. Among the above lines, the increase of Asia-Europe Line and China Line are the highest with the increasing rate of 24.5 % and 29.2 % separately. The revenues of container shipment rose mainly because of the growth of the freight quantity of the major lines. The following tables show the detail:
