Safety is the basis on which a shipping company is established and develops. Ever since establishment, the Company has spared no effort in creating the safety culture with coscon characteristics. The Company takes Convenience, Honesty, Harmony and Prominence as the guidelines of general management over safety, environment and occupational health and safety. Activities such as advertising, training, education, exchange and communication are sponsored within the Company, by which the staff bewares, understands and implements the mentioned guidelines.
The targets of the safety, environment and occupational health control are: discharge of the wasted water and materials given out by the organs shall comply with the regulations of the state laws and rules; discharge of the wasted water and material given out by the vessels shall comply with the international conventions and regulations; the discharge regulations of obligatory standards shall be stuck to; and the total volume shall be discharged as little as possible. Negative influence shall be prevented by adopting technological innovation, protecting the limited resources and taking effective measures. The Company shall take active part in the activities relating to environmental protection and shall coordinate with the regional and social counterparts. Major and serious accidents shall be put an end to and great accidents shall be reduces. Casualty shall be lowered, mortality per thousand people <0.1‰, GBH<0.4‰, rate of slight injury <5‰ and rate of accident adjustment and reconstruction 100%. Occupational diseases shall be diminished to make sure the health of the staff.
